After the party, the kitchen was done cooking up all the food, including the rough batch of dumplings. Not minding the bumpy lumps they made themselves, the boys scarfed down the dumplings.
The dark comes early during the winter months. By the time the instructors directed the students to carry all the cafeteria chairs to the field, the sky had long grown dark. The only illumination came from the lights of the temporary stage, colourful and twinkling.

After the party, the kitchen was done cooking up all the food, including the rough batch of dumplings. Not minding the bumpy lumps they made themselves, the boys scarfed down the dumplings.

Unable to contain themselves, some boys hopped on their chairs to whistle at the stage, only to get immediately smacked down by their instructors. Once the music started booming, the posing girls launched into a dynamic dance, heating up the atmosphere.Standing at around one hundred and seventy metres, she was “that girl”. She had the face; she had the curves, and that already beautiful face done up in make-up looked even more gorgeous and mature. As she danced, her moves seemed like second nature, evoking a kind of heat—eliciting a sense of invincibility. Both student and instructor alike were left awestruck by the sight, all except for Qin Mo, whose vision darkened by something familiar and icy.

“Life has many rounds; the arena awaits;Right then, the stage lit up with brilliant beams of yellow, welcoming the appearance of a strutting Chicken-head. The boy was dressed to the nines in a white mandarin-collared shirt, lined with the visage of red plum blossoms. The rest of Class 9 walked out behind him, dressed in similarly styled shirts except in black. Once in position, they stood straight with backs facing the crowd.

“Life has many rounds; the arena awaits;

Jiang Shao: “(⊙o⊙)?”After finishing his plate, a still hungry Qin Mo reached to grab some more. But before he could grab any of the dumplings, which were noticeably more beautiful than the rest, Shen Zhuoyun piled every one into Jiang Shao’s plate with one motion.

Jiang Shao: “(⊙o⊙)?”

At the end of the song, all the guys on stage struck an awesome pose as they soaked up the cheers from the crowd below.
For this period where all the students were permitted to gather, the instructors no longer barked for them to sit rаmrod straight, allowing them to slouch, allowing them to relax—but not relax too much, though. They were still not allowed to cross their legs and so on.

At the end of the song, all the guys on stage struck an awesome pose as they soaked up the cheers from the crowd below.

The eyes in question were glaring right then, though, their owner pretending he didn’t hear it.Chicken-head rapped the lyrics to be rapped and sang the lyrics to be sung—singing his heart out. When the song hit its clіmax, he was so hyped that he threw a flying kick into the air to the rapturous applause of the crowd.

Not a bastard from Class 9 had a dry face as they left the stage, every one dripping with perspiration. Grabbing the first person they saw, they had the same question: “How was our performance?”What the hell? But, boss... I’m already stuffed. I’m damn near bursting!

Their passion was fully stirred by the song “Fearless (Huo Yuan Jia).” Each and every one joining in to sing the chorus, their voices ring out in unison.Chicken-head rapped the lyrics to be rapped and sang the lyrics to be sung—singing his heart out. As the boys argued amongst themselves, even Yan Fanghong cracked a smile beside them. If not for them begging and sυcking up to him, he would have never gone on stage with those monkeys.
Ten minutes soon passed, and the lights on the stage dimmed, the amber glow replaced by beams of flashing blue so bright they were near blinding.

Within those shining beams, a group of girls were revealed on the centre stage. Dressed in sleek black shirts under a white vest and tie, paired with black leather shorts, they looked exceptionally cool.

Chapter 35: New Year’s Day – Part TwoThough the students had nothing but never-ending complaints about the rigorous training at that school, such methods were the most effective when it came to curbing violent tendencies. Besides, a benefit from those efforts was seen in the girls now on stage. Yes, their skin was darkened by the sun, but most of the girls now had figures many would die for. They were slim but not sickly. They had just the right amount of muscles, giving them a wild charm.

Shen Zhuoyun was a bit more discriminating. After hesitating, he decided to put the ones he made into Qin Mo’s dish and took all the ones Qin Mo made for himself. Those eyes of Qin Mo focusing on just him, and him alone, were more than enough.

“Hey! It’s not knocked out! How many times have I told you already?!” the nunchuck boy defended. “It’s just a bit loose, is all.”“What?” Shen Zhuoyun turned to look at him.

As Qin Mo watched the performance, it took him a good while to realise it was Shen Qing leading the dance. Halfway through their performance, every girl except Shen Qing retreated to the back, leaving her alone front and centre. Despite the reduction in number, the stage looked anything but vacant. Tossing away her silver vest, her body began moving to perform her solo number, seeming even more graceful than before, drawing the focus of all gazes on her.

The song Chicken-head sung was originally performed by Jay Chou, and it was made for the movie Fearless (orig. Huo Yuanjia), starring Jet Li.Jiang Shao: “(⊙o⊙)?”

The song Chicken-head sung was originally performed by Jay Chou, and it was made for the movie Fearless (orig. Huo Yuanjia), starring Jet Li. It was loosely based on the life of the real-life martial artist Huo Yuanjia (1868-1910), who went around fighting against foreign fighters during the last stages of the Qing Dynasty. (Hence the mandarin-collared costumes. Btw, Huo Yuanjia did not fight with nunchucks, but he did use the 3-sectioned staff. You know who did use nunchucks, though, Bruce Lee (most notably in Fists of Fury). And guess whose student his character was? Huo Yuanjia’s). That “(Chin Woo) Jing Wu Fist” is a reference to the school he founded. [][]Random notes. There is a line in the song that isn’t official. "Huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo! Life should be lived as high as it can go!” Isn't the lyrics, so maybe the Chicken-head was ad-libbing? Oh, and a tiny bit of creative liberties was taken with the lyrics, since parts had to rhyme. []Link to the song: Jay Chou - Fearless. Enjoy~

“What?” Shen Zhuoyun turned to look at him.Huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo! Life should be lived as high as it can go!”

“What?” Shen Zhuoyun turned to look at him.

Right then, the stage lit up with brilliant beams of yellow, welcoming the appearance of a strutting Chicken-head. The boy was dressed to the nines in a white mandarin-collared shirt, lined with the visage of red plum blossoms. The rest of Class 9 walked out behind him, dressed in similarly styled shirts except in black. Once in position, they stood straight with backs facing the crowd.“Oh.” Shen Zhuoyun reached over to pat the shorter boy’s head. “Next time.”

The dark comes early during the winter months. By the time the instructors directed the students to carry all the cafeteria chairs to the field, the sky had long grown dark. The only illumination came from the lights of the temporary stage, colourful and twinkling.Unable to contain themselves, some boys hopped on their chairs to whistle at the stage, only to get immediately smacked down by their instructors. Once the music started booming, the posing girls launched into a dynamic dance, heating up the atmosphere.

Shen Zhuoyun nodded.

Shen Zhuoyun nodded.

At the end of the song, all the guys on stage struck an awesome pose as they soaked up the cheers from the crowd below. Ten minutes soon passed, and the lights on the stage dimmed, the amber glow replaced by beams of flashing blue so bright they were near blinding.Neither Qin Mo nor Shen Zhuoyun expected their class’s act to be so well done. That group of bastards from Class 9 actually looked incredibly cool—like real-life martial artists spilling over with passion. No one looking at them would ever guess they were problematic youth abandoned by their parents and teachers, kids so unwanted that they were sent to this prison camp.

“That I didn’t go on stage.” Qin Mo smiled faintly.Standing at around one hundred and seventy metres, she was “that girl”.

Though the students had nothing but never-ending complaints about the rigorous training at that school, such methods were the most effective when it came to curbing violent tendencies. Besides, a benefit from those efforts was seen in the girls now on stage.

Once in position, they stood straight with backs facing the crowd. As one of the people grabbed, Shen Zhuoyun, towards Chicken-head said, “Your singing wasn’t too bad."

“Life has many rounds; the arena awaits;“I know, right!” the complimented boy replied excitedly. Having long forgotten himself, he continued boasting, “If I knew I was this good at singing, I would have debuted during the school’s anniversary event! Every girl at our school would want a piece of me then.”

Neither Qin Mo nor Shen Zhuoyun expected their class’s act to be so well done. That group of bastards from Class 9 actually looked incredibly cool—like real-life martial artists spilling over with passion. No one looking at them would ever guess they were problematic youth abandoned by their parents and teachers, kids so unwanted that they were sent to this prison camp.
“What?” Shen Zhuoyun turned to look at him.

Next time, far outside those high walls.

Standing at around one hundred and seventy metres, she was “that girl”. She had the face; she had the curves, and that already beautiful face done up in make-up looked even more gorgeous and mature.Huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo, huo! Huo Sect’s fists move swiftly as they go…”

Both student and instructor alike were left awestruck by the sight, all except for Qin Mo, whose vision darkened by something familiar and icy.

“That I didn’t go on stage.” Qin Mo smiled faintly.

Watching this unfold, Qin Mo was struck by the thought: If their parents got to see their shining moment on that stage, would they have still sent them to this place?

After finishing his plate, a still hungry Qin Mo reached to grab some more. But before he could grab any of the dumplings, which were noticeably more beautiful than the rest, Shen Zhuoyun piled every one into Jiang Shao’s plate with one motion.
After the party, the kitchen was done cooking up all the food, including the rough batch of dumplings. Not minding the bumpy lumps they made themselves, the boys scarfed down the dumplings.

Shen Zhuoyun was a bit more discriminating. After hesitating, he decided to put the ones he made into Qin Mo’s dish and took all the ones Qin Mo made for himself.

“Don’t even think of looking.” The owner of the frosty hand snorted before adding, “It’s obscene.”“But Shen Qing likes women,” Qin Mo muttered in defence.

“That doesn’t matter,” Shen Zhuoyun replied. It was only after the girls left the stage that he finally removed his hand, then added, “No one is allowed." He didn’t want anyone else to hold Qin Mo’s attention, regardless of who that person was.

On stage, the show heated up, and each successive performance was met with scores of cheers. Soon the lights again dimmed, and Qin Mo tugged on Shen Zhuoyun’s shirt and asked, “Is it time for our dorm now?”For this period where all the students were permitted to gather, the instructors no longer barked for them to sit rаmrod straight, allowing them to slouch, allowing them to relax—but not relax too much, though. They were still not allowed to cross their legs and so on.

Their passion was fully stirred by the song “Fearless (Huo Yuan Jia).” Each and every one joining in to sing the chorus, their voices ring out in unison.

Notes:

Random notes.
