Xiaoya and Lu Xiaobei spent three days in the Diamond Capital. For the first two days they explored the city, then on the third day, the made their way to the Windmill Village (Zaanse Schans), which was an impressively beautiful and peaceful small town.

Xiaoya: "At least one semester, but if I fail again, there won't be a limit. You want to know what else Miller told me today? I asked her if I could skip two classes because they were pathway courses and since I failed the exams I wouldn't qualify for them. Anyhow, next semester I still have to go back and I don't want to go. But she, of all things, still said that I couldn't, and I must come. And even asked me why I didn't want to."

Lu Xiaobei could always manage to win Xiaoya over, so Xiaoya had to pull out her trump card. "My mother said that sharing the household responsibilities together would give me more status at home."

Xiaoya: heart_turning_to_ashes.jpg (depression.jpg)

After she got back home, she had told Lu Xiaobei what happened. "I'm not that upset, and I had an idea what the results would be after the exam was over, but... am I really supposed to still put a smile on my face when accepting that I failed?"

Xiaoya also looked up some apartments online and ran all over to make inquiries.

Lu Xiaobei hugged her. "That's not true. If it weren't for me, you could've just gotten into the student dorms."

Lu Xiaobei: "But isn't there some personal matters seriously troubling you right now?"

On the village's border, cows and sheep grazed freely. There was also a small stream slowly running through the village that led to a huge lake where some yacht's were parked. Lining the water's edge were also some small houses that had huge windmills in front. All of it was a sight to behold, looking very much like a painting.

Always.

Lu Xiaobei has done so much, so what reason could Xiaoya still have to not go face them with her together?

Xiaoya: ???

The village was also filled with a lot of people, most of whom were other tourists.

During the next passing days, two had made a rather happy and cosy life together.

Lu Xiaobei: "Do you have to get an extension?"

Xiaoya: ...

Hiring a photographer, Xiaoya and Lu Xiaobei then took as many photos as possible to record their beautiful, youthful memories.

Xiaoya's original words to her during that conversation were: "When were in China, I stayed at the apartment your family provided, and my dorm room wasn't refunded, so neither of us was paying out of our own pockets. But now that we're living abroad, it'll be an apartment we'll both be renting together, so it's only natural I pay my fair share."

Lu Xiaobei ten sent Miss Miller a reply in Xiaoya's name saying she would be sending her postcards from their trip.

Not long after it was sent, they received an email from Miss Miller that sent words of comfort to Xiaoya and also giving her approval to take a leave.

After she got back home, she had told Lu Xiaobei what happened. "I'm not that upset, and I had an idea what the results would be after the exam was over, but... am I really supposed to still put a smile on my face when accepting that I failed?"

...

Then before they left the village, after finding ten euros floating in a stream, Xiaoya spent it to buy a couple postcards using the reason, "My mother told me any money you pick up from somewhere should all be spentT/n: There's a belief it's bad luck to to hold on to found money since another person's bad luck could be passed on if the person keeps the cash on them for long. Passing the buck, passes the bad luck XD."

Xiaoya and Lu Xiaobei spent three days in the Diamond Capital. For the first two days they explored the city, then on the third day, the made their way to the Windmill Village (Zaanse Schans), which was an impressively beautiful and peaceful small town.

The happy student only had two things things to worry about, studying and love~ With respect to her love life, Xiaoya had received her "happy ending", so after such an achievement, the the ball for the "study" aspect got dropped.

Lu Xiaobei: "I could send her an email on your behalf and ask for two weeks off. We can also go take a fun trip around Europe during your break."

Lu Xiaobei: "Where else would you like to go? We still have a lot of time left."

Chuckling, Lu Xiaobei teased, "You're superstitious about a lot of things, aren't you?"

Apartment no.1 (a stern, middle-aged uncle): "Your English isn't good enough. We won't be able to communicate without trouble."

Xiaoya knew what Lu Xiaobei had meant, she heeded her mother's words a bit too much. It wasn't just with regard to insignificant matters like these, but also when it came Xiaoya insisting on sharing the rent while the stayed in the Netherlands, which Lu Xiaobei couldn't really understand.

After they left the Diamond Capital, Xiaoya left first to go visit the college town where her university was located, wile Lu Xiaobei went to go visit her mother.

Lu Xiaobei: "Where else would you like to go? We still have a lot of time left."

Xiaoya and Lu Xiaobei spent three days in the Diamond Capital. For the first two days they explored the city, then on the third day, the made their way to the Windmill Village (Zaanse Schans), which was an impressively beautiful and peaceful small town.

Xiaoya: "About half. Could be more, or it could be less."

Not long after it was sent, they received an email from Miss Miller that sent words of comfort to Xiaoya and also giving her approval to take a leave.

Lu Xiaobei has done so much, so what reason could Xiaoya still have to not go face them with her together?

Xiaoya: "??? She told me I had to come to class!!!" Miss Miller said Xiaoya had to attend those classes and Xiaoya couldn't dare skip them because she'd still be in Miss Miller's hands for the upcoming semester.

Amused by this new nickname of Xiaoya's, she let out a "pftt", then replied, "I'd like to go with you to hang a 'love lock'."

Lu Xiaobei hugged her. "That's not true. If it weren't for me, you could've just gotten into the student dorms."

During the next passing days, two had made a rather happy and cosy life together.

Anyhow, next semester I still have to go back and I don't want to go. But she, of all things, still said that I couldn't, and I must come. And even asked me why I didn't want to."

But what Lu Xiaobei had meant was: "It doesn't matter if I'm living alone and you stay with me, or if you're living alone and I stay with you. Plus, right now, I'm the working and you're still in school."

Lu Xiaobei pulled that "depressed" girl into a kiss, then asked again, "Anything else?"

Lu Xiaobei could always manage to win Xiaoya over, so Xiaoya had to pull out her trump card. "My mother said that sharing the household responsibilities together would give me more status at home."

Lu Xiaobei: "At home, for me, whoever takes on less of the household duties is the one who holds the most status."

Until she met with the host of apartment no.7 (a very beautiful young woman) who told her cheekily: "No rent required, all the furniture is set, so the only thing you need to do is bring your bag to check in."

Xiaoya: ...

The hands Xiaoya used to hold her transcript tightened, and she was very clearly depressed.

But, in the end, Lu Xiaobei no longer acted stubborn with Xiaoya. They were at the point of their relationship where the seven year itch period was upon them, so backing off during small issues like this was the best course of action overall. After so many years together, it wasn't just about them loving each other as they did in the beginning, but also about gaining the wisdom needed for them to continue to get along.

Xiaoya: "??? She told me I had to come to class!!!" Miss Miller said Xiaoya had to attend those classes and Xiaoya couldn't dare skip them because she'd still be in Miss Miller's hands for the upcoming semester.

Lu Xiaobei: "At home, for me, whoever takes on less of the household duties is the one who holds the most status."

Xiaoya: "I want to go see the sea. Even though it's cold now and we can't go swimming, apart from the time I couldn't even remember, I haven't been to the beach."

Xiaoya had nothing to say. She was willing to cook, but the problem was Lu Xiaobei wasn't willing to eat it, giving the excuse: So no matter what my beloved cooks, do I have to eat it all up?! (T/n: Xiaoya can't cook to save her life.)

Xiaoya also looked up some apartments online and ran all over to make inquiries.

Circling her arms around Lu Xiaobei's neck, Xiaoya kissed her instead, then asked, "Captain, my oh so dear wife, where would you like to go on this trip of ours?"

Apartment no.2 (a kind old lady): "Oh my, I do prefer girls. Girl's love being all neat and tiny more than that other lot. If you're up for it, I can even teach you how to bake cupcakes during the weekends. It'd make my day if you do. But I can't only rent you the apartment for a year, though, it's much too troublesome. I'm sorry, dear. There's another tenant who wants to rent this place for a decade."

By the look on Xiaoya's face, it seemed as though she wanted to burst into tears and faint the very next second.

Xiaoya: "Going on a fun trip is something 'seriously troubling'?" As she looked at Lu Xiaobei type that email in her name and send to Miss Miller, shocked, she then asked, "I thought you were just going to ask for some sick leave. I didn't think you'd say because I failed the exam I got super depressed and needed to go out to relax, learn more about European culture, and that I also made the decision to work even harder next semester as well. Will Miss Miller even approve an application for leave like this?"

Amused by this new nickname of Xiaoya's, she let out a "pftt", then replied, "I'd like to go with you to hang a 'love lock'."

While Lu Xiaobei had other ideas, figuring that since she and Xiaoya would be spending the rest of their lives together, wouldn't it be better if Xiaoya just depended on her instead of still relying on her folks as an adult?

One week before Christmas, Miss Miller had called Xiaoya to her office then said, "Miss WangT/n: I have idea how 余:Yu became Wang. Is either the author forgot her name or Ms Miller got her name wrong. I know how that feels T_T. I was an "Ali" for a semester once., you have failed the certification exams for four of your courses and you will have to retake them again next semester."

Lu Xiaobei: "At home, for me, whoever takes on less of the household duties is the one who holds the most status."

Xiaoya did not cry, but she was quite tired. She had not wanted to explain anything any more.

Xiaoya: heart_turning_to_ashes.jpg (depression.jpg)

Lu Xiaobei: "She'll approve it. If she doesn't, you'll just diligently head back to class and we'll go out on a trip next semester. What kind of illness can you get for a month, or so?" There's two weeks off for the Christmas holidays, and we could ask for two weeks leave, but that doesn't cover the full month.

Miss Miller: "Miss Wang, you don't need to cry. Just be a bit more active in your classes next semester instead of just sitting there."

Xiaoya also looked up some apartments online and ran all over to make inquiries.

Chuckling, Lu Xiaobei teased, "You're superstitious about a lot of things, aren't you?"

iana: to Paris we go and that's the end of the road.

After they left the Diamond Capital, Xiaoya left first to go visit the college town where her university was located, wile Lu Xiaobei went to go visit her mother.

Xiaoya: "Fine. But I'm still scared of her so I don't want to lie to her."

Xiaoya: "Fine. But I'm still scared of her so I don't want to lie to her."

Anyhow, after walking around for a long time, Xiaoya ended up staying at Lu Xiaobei's house in the village. Lu Xiaobei always said she was the one always following Xiaoya, but, honestly, Xiaoya was the little "Monkey King" who couldn't escape the grasp of Wuzhi MountainT/n: Wuzhi literally means five fingers, and monkey Sun (monkey king) is Sun Wukong. This is a Journey to the West reference..

Xiaoya also looked up some apartments online and ran all over to make inquiries.

For a second, Xiaoya trembled, but she did not refuse. Lu Xiaobei gave her plenty of time to prepare. What's more, since she was little, Lu Xiaobei had been celebrating Christmas, and since she was now back in the Netherlands, it couldn't be helped she would return home. Plus, she was worried that when she did, it would leave Xiaoya there alone.

And this was an incredibly difficult process.

Xiaoya did not cry, but she was quite tired. She had not wanted to explain anything any more.

Xiaoya: "I want to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower. I want to ride the carousel under the tower, and I want to have a glass of wine while overlooking the Seine River. Oh, and... I can't even imagine a romantic scene like... Anyhow, I just want to go there."

But Xiaoya added honestly, "There's a shortage of rooms in the student dorms too, so I couldn't apply there either."

An angry Xiaoya threw herself at the one who was teasing her. "Captain!" Frustrated, she then grumbled, "Without you, can't I do anything right?"

Miss Miller: "Miss Wang, you don't need to cry. Just be a bit more active in your classes next semester instead of just sitting there."

Xiaoya: ...

Lu Xiaobei: "At home, for me, whoever takes on less of the household duties is the one who holds the most status."

But Lu Xiaobei didn't want to spend the current moment explaining it to her, all she wanted was to keep their lips joined. For them to be together like this...

...

However, they did divide the household chores equally. Xiaoya took care of buying the groceries and daily necessities, which was also gave her a chance to practice her English. While Lu Xiaobei was responsible for all the cooking. As for the cleaning, they both took turns.

Lu Xiaobei: "At home, for me, whoever takes on less of the household duties is the one who holds the most status."

By the look on Xiaoya's face, it seemed as though she wanted to burst into tears and faint the very next second.

And this was an incredibly difficult process.

Lu Xiaobei: "I could send her an email on your behalf and ask for two weeks off. We can also go take a fun trip around Europe during your break."

Xiaoya: "Yeah, and I have to pay 2400 euros for the tuition fee. Oh, and these courses weren't originally in the syllabus."

Circling her arms around Lu Xiaobei's neck, Xiaoya kissed her instead, then asked, "Captain, my oh so dear wife, where would you like to go on this trip of ours?"

Lu Xiaobei could always manage to win Xiaoya over, so Xiaoya had to pull out her trump card. "My mother said that sharing the household responsibilities together would give me more status at home."

Lu Xiaobei then asked her, "How many in your classes failed?"

Hiring a photographer, Xiaoya and Lu Xiaobei then took as many photos as possible to record their beautiful, youthful memories.

By the look on Xiaoya's face, it seemed as though she wanted to burst into tears and faint the very next second.

Lu Xiaobei: "I could send her an email on your behalf and ask for two weeks off. We can also go take a fun trip around Europe during your break."

Xiaoya: "About half. Could be more, or it could be less."

Lu Xiaobei: "I could send her an email on your behalf and ask for two weeks off. We can also go take a fun trip around Europe during your break."

The hands Xiaoya used to hold her transcript tightened, and she was very clearly depressed.

Xiaoya: "Yes, I understand."

Lu Xiaobei: "Then it looks as though a good bit of them still managed to pass. That means you still didn't give it your all."

Lu Xiaobei: "Oh. How about we put this aside for now and just focus on were you want to visit first?

Lu Xiaobei: "At home, for me, whoever takes on less of the household duties is the one who holds the most status."

Until she met with the host of apartment no.7 (a very beautiful young woman) who told her cheekily: "No rent required, all the furniture is set, so the only thing you need to do is bring your bag to check in."

On the village's border, cows and sheep grazed freely. There was also a small stream slowly running through the village that led to a huge lake where some yacht's were parked. Lining the water's edge were also some small houses that had huge windmills in front. All of it was a sight to behold, looking very much like a painting.

Lu Xiaobei: "I could send her an email on your behalf and ask for two weeks off. We can also go take a fun trip around Europe during your break."

The village was also filled with a lot of people, most of whom were other tourists.

The hands Xiaoya used to hold her transcript tightened, and she was very clearly depressed.

While Lu Xiaobei had other ideas, figuring that since she and Xiaoya would be spending the rest of their lives together, wouldn't it be better if Xiaoya just depended on her instead of still relying on her folks as an adult?

Xiaoya: "??? She told me I had to come to class!!!" Miss Miller said Xiaoya had to attend those classes and Xiaoya couldn't dare skip them because she'd still be in Miss Miller's hands for the upcoming semester.

Circling her arms around Lu Xiaobei's neck, Xiaoya kissed her instead, then asked, "Captain, my oh so dear wife, where would you like to go on this trip of ours?"

Lu Xiaobei: "But isn't there some personal matters seriously troubling you right now?"

...

Lu Xiaobei could always manage to win Xiaoya over, so Xiaoya had to pull out her trump card. "My mother said that sharing the household responsibilities together would give me more status at home."

Lu Xiaobei has done so much, so what reason could Xiaoya still have to not go face them with her together?

The happy student only had two things things to worry about, studying and love~ With respect to her love life, Xiaoya had received her "happy ending", so after such an achievement, the the ball for the "study" aspect got dropped.

Lu Xiaobei hugged her. "That's not true. If it weren't for me, you could've just gotten into the student dorms."

Xiaoya: "Going on a fun trip is something 'seriously troubling'?" As she looked at Lu Xiaobei type that email in her name and send to Miss Miller, shocked, she then asked, "I thought you were just going to ask for some sick leave.

Lu Xiaobei then asked her, "How many in your classes failed?"

But Xiaoya added honestly, "There's a shortage of rooms in the student dorms too, so I couldn't apply there either."

Circling her arms around Lu Xiaobei's neck, Xiaoya kissed her instead, then asked, "Captain, my oh so dear wife, where would you like to go on this trip of ours?"

...

Xiaoya: "Fine. But I'm still scared of her so I don't want to lie to her."

Xiaoya: "Fine. But I'm still scared of her so I don't want to lie to her."

An angry Xiaoya threw herself at the one who was teasing her. "Captain!" Frustrated, she then grumbled, "Without you, can't I do anything right?"

Not long after it was sent, they received an email from Miss Miller that sent words of comfort to Xiaoya and also giving her approval to take a leave.

While Lu Xiaobei had other ideas, figuring that since she and Xiaoya would be spending the rest of their lives together, wouldn't it be better if Xiaoya just depended on her instead of still relying on her folks as an adult?

Lu Xiaobei: "How long will the extension be for?"

But what Lu Xiaobei had meant was: "It doesn't matter if I'm living alone and you stay with me, or if you're living alone and I stay with you. Plus, right now, I'm the working and you're still in school."

Lu Xiaobei ten sent Miss Miller a reply in Xiaoya's name saying she would be sending her postcards from their trip.

But what Lu Xiaobei had meant was: "It doesn't matter if I'm living alone and you stay with me, or if you're living alone and I stay with you. Plus, right now, I'm the working and you're still in school."

Xiaoya stared at that email listlessly.

Xiaoya: ...

Lu Xiaobei: "But isn't there some personal matters seriously troubling you right now?"

But Lu Xiaobei didn't want to spend the current moment explaining it to her, all she wanted was to keep their lips joined. For them to be together like this...

...

Xiaoya: "I want to go see the sea. Even though it's cold now and we can't go swimming, apart from the time I couldn't even remember, I haven't been to the beach."

Lu Xiaobei: "Sending postcards something you like."

Xiaoya: "Yeah, and I have to pay 2400 euros for the tuition fee. Oh, and these courses weren't originally in the syllabus."

Xiaoya: "Nooo... I don't want to meet Miss Miller face to face at all! She has a baby face but she's so cold to me."

The happy student only had two things things to worry about, studying and love~ With respect to her love life, Xiaoya had received her "happy ending", so after such an achievement, the the ball for the "study" aspect got dropped.

And this was an incredibly difficult process.

Lu Xiaobei: "Oh. How about we put this aside for now and just focus on were you want to visit first?

After she got back home, she had told Lu Xiaobei what happened. "I'm not that upset, and I had an idea what the results would be after the exam was over, but... am I really supposed to still put a smile on my face when accepting that I failed?"

Xiaoya: "I want to go see the sea. Even though it's cold now and we can't go swimming, apart from the time I couldn't even remember, I haven't been to the beach."

And even asked me why I didn't want to."

...

Xiaoya and Lu Xiaobei spent three days in the Diamond Capital. For the first two days they explored the city, then on the third day, the made their way to the Windmill Village (Zaanse Schans), which was an impressively beautiful and peaceful small town.

Xiaoya: "I want to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower. I want to ride the carousel under the tower, and I want to have a glass of wine while overlooking the Seine River. Oh, and... I can't even imagine a romantic scene like... Anyhow, I just want to go there."

Xiaoya: "Nooo... I don't want to meet Miss Miller face to face at all! She has a baby face but she's so cold to me."

Lu Xiaobei pulled that "depressed" girl into a kiss, then asked again, "Anything else?"

Lu Xiaobei: "But isn't there some personal matters seriously troubling you right now?"

Lu Xiaobei could always manage to win Xiaoya over, so Xiaoya had to pull out her trump card. "My mother said that sharing the household responsibilities together would give me more status at home."

Xiaoya: "I want to go see the sea. Even though it's cold now and we can't go swimming, apart from the time I couldn't even remember, I haven't been to the beach."

Chuckling, Lu Xiaobei teased, "You're superstitious about a lot of things, aren't you?"

Amused by this new nickname of Xiaoya's, she let out a "pftt", then replied, "I'd like to go with you to hang a 'love lock'."

Xiaoya: "Yes, I understand."

Lu Xiaobei kissed her again, still remaining stuck to her lips as she said, "This Christmas, I'd like you to celebrate it at my mom's. My grandparent's will be there too, so I'd like to introduce you to them."

Xiaoya: "About half. Could be more, or it could be less."

After they left the Diamond Capital, Xiaoya left first to go visit the college town where her university was located, wile Lu Xiaobei went to go visit her mother.

Amused by this new nickname of Xiaoya's, she let out a "pftt", then replied, "I'd like to go with you to hang a 'love lock'."

Xiaoya: ...

Lu Xiaobei: "At home, for me, whoever takes on less of the household duties is the one who holds the most status."

Xiaoya had nothing to say. She was willing to cook, but the problem was Lu Xiaobei wasn't willing to eat it, giving the excuse: So no matter what my beloved cooks, do I have to eat it all up?! (T/n: Xiaoya can't cook to save her life.)

Lu Xiaobei: "Then it looks as though a good bit of them still managed to pass. That means you still didn't give it your all."

During the next passing days, two had made a rather happy and cosy life together.

Always.
